Your Role and Responsibilities

You will be a Front-end developer understanding the User needs, exploring user centered designs, developing & testing User Interface along with advocating front end development best practices for SevOne Network performance Management technology that allows customers to view their whole IT systems from application through containers and storage.

IBM SDN team is looking for talented, passionate and self-motivated front-end developer who can build powerful web UI for SDN product suites. The candidate will be responsible for implementation of user interfaces that presents intuitive set of visual displays. The role requires the ability to read and comprehend architecture design and design layout for the user interface and working on the implementation and testing of the design. The implementation involves writing UI in React, Redux, Javascript, Angular JS, scripting using Python and Shell. The candidate will be responsible for working with IBM Design researchers on persona driven design, define REST APIs along with back-end engineers, perform unit testing, Functional Verification Testing and also participate in System and Performance testing efforts. The candidate must possess effective communication skills to engage in technical discussions with the architects, leads and teammates

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 12+ years of IT experience
• Proven experience as a software developer building enterprise class software products;
• Proven experience as front end developer working with web technologies and with latest Java Script frameworks (Anjular JS, React, Vue.js, Angular 6+), tools (Node, NPM Grunt etc), automation tools (Protractor and ngMock)
• Demonstrated skill in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, and Go
• Proficiency with building responsive webpages with HTML 5, CSS and related frameworks (Bootstrap, Materialize, Carbon)
• Experience on UX Design Methodologies
• Experience using AJAX, REST, JSON
• Knowledge and experience in Node.js
• Understanding of Microservice Architecture
• Experience with Agile Development methodologies
• Strong communication Skills.
• Knowledge and experience with consuming and building RESTfull APIs using JSON data and best practices related to their implementation

Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise

• Experience with the micro-services architecture, software containers and related technologies (Docker containers, Docker Compose, Kubernetes)
• Experience writing unit tests and other UI automated tests with various test frameworks (like Jasmine, Karma, Protractor)
• Some practical working experience with cloud computing technologies
